Victoria Hurricanes lose in final seconds against SA Titans
The Hurricanes are on bye this week, but will play the South Texas Panthers on April 23
VICTORIA, Texas — The Victoria Hurricanes are left in heart-break after its game against the San Antonio Titans over the weekend.
Both teams struggled on the offensive side of the ball in part to the windy weather. Only one offensive touchdown was scored and that was by the Titans in the first quarter after a two-yard run. The Hurricane defense and special teams came up big after a punt pinned inside the Titans on the one yard-line. The Hurricanes would take advantage and force a safety making the score 6-2 Titans. The biggest play of the game would be one of the final plays of the game when the hurricanes had the ball inside the Titans 10 yard-line.
The backup quarterback would scramble around looking to make a play down field and the pass would be blocked, intercepted and then taken 80 yards to the opposite end-zone for the dagger. Final score 12-2 Titans. The Titans are ranked number two in the league and have a tough defense who have shut-out their past two opponents. The Hurricanes are on bye this week, but will play the South Texas Panthers on April 23. The Hurricanes now sit at 3-2 on the season.
