Victoria Generals, Northside Ranch make donation to DOCPAC
VICTORIA, Texas – Bark in the Park is an annual event held by the Victoria Generals and Northside Ranch every baseball season. Usually, Dorothy O’Connor Pet Adoption Center attends and brings out some adoptable pups. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, they were unable to attend this year. Because of this, the Victoria Generals and Northside Ranch decided to hold a silent auction and raffle to purchase items off of their wish list.
“It feels great to give back to the community. The community gives so much to us, providing us the opportunity to play in such a beautiful area, and to give back means a lot because the Lord gives us a spirit of giving back and loving others so it’s always nice to help others when we can,” Caleb Maly, Outfielder for the Victoria Generals says.
On the day of their last game of the season, two Victoria Generals and Northside Ranch employees delivered the haul of goodies to Dorothy O’Connor. Some items included were toys, bedding, and food for both dogs and cats. DOCPAC appreciates any and all donations.
“It definitely helps improve the quality of life of our animals here in the shelter. Having a warm bed to sleep on and good food in their tummy helps them transition into better homes,” Skye Surman with DOCPAC says.
