A major amateur boxing show in Victoria Saturday. Fighters from Houston, San Antonio, The Valley, Corpus Christi, San Marcos and more will take part in a showcase hosted by the Tuff-E-Nuff Boxing Club at the Victoria Jaycee Hall. Tuff-E-Nuff coach Jessie Martinez said he expects between 50 and 100 boxers to participate in the event

Martinez told us that showcases like this go a long way towards motivating young athletes and keeping kids off the streets. “I think growing up the way I did and seeing kids on the street and stuff. I think boxing is a good way to teach them and help them where I needed the help. Boxing is a way to better themselves. It is also a way to keep themselves off the street.

The boxing showcase is Saturday 2-6 pm at the Victoria Jaycee Hall. Tickets are ten dollars and can be purchased at the door.
