Victoria fugitive arrested after assaulting Sheriff’s Deputy
VICTORIA, Texas — The Victoria County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Victoria woman after trespassing on property and then assaulting a deputy Monday night.
Court documents show Tanya Davis broke into a property late Monday evening for unknown reasons.
After a deputy arrived on the scene, Davis lied about her identity in an attempt to avoid arrest.
Once the deputy attempted to arrest Davis, she began fighting back, kicking the deputy several times in the chest before being apprehended.
Davis was charged with Failure to ID and Assault of a Public Servant.
Davis also had five warrants for her arrest, including a felony charge out of Bexar County.
