Victoria Fire Department partners with Meals on Wheels to deliver COVID vaccine to homebound residents

VICTORIA, Texas- The Victoria Fire Department partnered with Meals on Wheels to deliver 150 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine to homebound Victoria residents on Friday, February 5, 2021. VFD announced this in a statement sent to Crossroads Today.

The distribution was part of a limited pilot program available to homebound Meals on Wheels clients who are 65 years old and older.

Fire department employees assisting in the effort were Battalion Chief Tim Hunter, Captain Jennifer Dailey, Fire Medic Brandy Marek (team leader), Fire Medic Pamela Yanta, Fire Medic Gabriel Balcorta, Fire Medic Jorge Mora, and Firefighter Spencer Craig.

Vaccines were provided to 150 Meals on Wheels clients Friday and Saturday as part of a pilot distribution program.
