Victoria EDC Partnership Meeting Returned Tuesday
After a few months absence, the Victoria Partnership meeting returned to a full house this morning.
The Victoria Economic Development Corporation’s Partnership meeting met this morning inside the Leo J. Welder center, after a long hiatus due to the COVID- 19 pandemic. The topic of this mornings meeting was basically of reflection of how community leaders and others responded to the COVID- 19 pandemic, and the lessons learned from it. State representative Geanie Morrison, spoke about her experiences and how her office dealt with the situation.
“I was just talking about the wonderful experience of working with emergency management, with Rick McBrayer…..putting together those daily meetings, and all the individuals with the city and the county working together to make sure that our community is safe. Because we had a lot of disasters over the last few years, an yesterday as we all know was the first day of hurricane season….and it look like its going to be an active. One. So I think that our city and county is now very well prepared to handle any issue that comes up in our community,” said Morrison.
The Partnership meeting meets every Tuesday morning at 7:30. The community is always welcomed to attend.
