Jonas Titas began working at VEDC
VICTORIA, Texas – The Board of Directors of the Victoria Economic Development Corporation announced the selection of a new president to lead the organization.
Jonas Titas will step into the role of President of the Victoria Economic Development Corporation. Titas, formally known as the Executive Director of Copperas Cove, began working at VEDC on Aug. 16.
The new president has a wealth of experience working throughout the State of Texas. He has led successful economic development organizations. Before joining VDEC, Titas led the reorganized Copperas Cove Economic Development Corporation. There, he worked closely with the Department of Defense and municipal leaders on transformative and generational projects for the Central Texas Region. The projects spurred significant population growth.
From 2015 to 2018, Titas was the Director for Manufacturing and Logistics for the Greater Houston Partnership. He was in charge of bringing together numerous local and regional partners to facilitate large, complex projects. Before that, Titas was Executive Director for the Kerr Economic Development Corporation. Kerrville won the 2015 Texas Economic Development Council’s Community Economic Development Award.
