Victoria East Titans prepare for their game against Veterans Memorial

Titans will take on the Eagles

VICTORIA, Texas — Well Victoria you voted and we listened our game of the week this Friday will be the Victoria east titans playing the Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial. The Titans will have their first game at Memorial Stadium Frost Bank Field since the donation of the new turf. The Titans who traveled to Corpus Christi last Friday took on Carroll high school. Their top performers are quarterback Jadon Williams who has 5 touchdowns on the season, three rushing and two through the air. The running game is by committee, with Williams, Latavian Johnson and Alan Jimenez. The Titans won that game 28-0 but head coach Roland Gonzales knows they need to work everyday.

“You know it’s the same old thing that we talk about all the time. Reviewing and trying to improve on what we’re doing and try to eliminate errors. It’s not only our first home game but it’s our senior parent night. Kids are going to be excited, it’s going to be a great atmosphere so if you have an opportunity come out and watch some high school football,” said Gonzales.

Victoria East has an overall record of 2-0 and 1-0 in district play. The families and players get to play on their home stage on a special night honoring their seniors and parents.

On the other hand the Eagles, scored 57 against Veterans Memorial, and have scored 57 in both of their previous games. The Eagles are projected to win disctict 5-a division 1, while East is projected to finish 5th. Eagles quarterback Carter Senterfitt was projected to be the district’s offensive MVP. He has four rushing touchdowns and five throwing. His main target is Cameron Delapena who has four touchdowns and leads the team in receptions and yards. Kick off is at 7:30 Friday night.
