Victoria County under 90-day burn ban
VICTORIA COUNTY, Texas – Residents of Victoria County are now under a 90-day burn ban.
The burn ban will be lifted once there is a substantial amount of rain.
Victoria County commissioners voted to enact a burn ban Monday during commissioners’ court.
No rain is expected in Victoria County for the next several days.
Under a burn ban residents are prohibited or restricted from outdoor burning.
It should be noted that under a burn ban in Victoria County, household trash burning in a barrel is allowed as long as there’s a screen on top consisting of holes no larger than 5/8″ inch. The area around the barrel should be cleared down to the soil or gravel.
