Victoria County Sheriff’s Office make major Drug bust
6 arrested, over 2,000 grams of drugs and $8,000 of U.S. money siezed
VICTORIA, Texas – VCSO Special Crimes Unit arrest 6 persons, and take 120 grams of Methamphetamine, 160 grams of Ecstasy, 27.5 ounces of Marijuana, and 2000 grams of THC products off the streets and seize $8,300.00 in U.S. currency.
On May 13, 2020, during an ongoing investigation into a narcotic distribution group working in and around Victoria County, investigators with the Special Crimes Unit conducted several traffic stops and served a search warrant in the 200 block of Westwood Street. In addition to the arrests, illegal drugs, and seized currency, deputies found narcotic scales and packaging used to further the illicit distribution activity.
Arrested were Marvin Travis Denison, age 51, and Jonathon Mesa, age 36, both of Yoakum. Kenny Colder Hamman, age 21, of Goliad, along with Willard Dee Mathis, age 28, Jacob Galeana, age 23, and Joe Anthony Rodriguez III, age 29, all of Victoria.
Charges filed included: Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity, $40,000 bond; Manufacture and Delivery of Controlled Substance, 4>200 grams Penalty Group 1, $40,000 bond; Manufacture and Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Penalty Group 2, $10,000 bond, and Money Laundering, $10,000 bond for each defendant.
