Victoria County Sheriff’s Office Ceremony

About 200 law enforcement and civilian personnel were sworn in along with the sheriff Sunday afternoon.
Every four years upon the election and the start of the new year, all law enforcement and civilian personnel must be sworn in.
The department hosted the traditional ceremony at the Victoria County Courthouse.
Family members, community volunteers, and others all were invited to attend the event.
Sheriff T. Michael O’Connor says he wants to express his appreciation for law enforcement and looks forward to what this year has in store.

“That’s probably the most important aspect for me,” he says. “Gratifying that I can take a moment to thank them and express to them how much I appreciate what they do.”
