Victoria County reports two new deaths related to COVID-19

VICTORIA, Texas – The Victoria County Public Health Department is reporting two COVID-19-related deaths in Victoria County. The patients, a female Victoria County resident in her 60’s and a male Victoria County resident in his 70’s were both hospitalized in Victoria. To respect and honor the families, no further personal information will be released.

“It’s unfortunate that our County has lost two of its residents because of the spread of this virus. The Victoria County Public Health Department extends its deepest condolences to the patients’ families and friends,” Victoria County wrote in a press release. “The Victoria County Public Health Department will not be providing a daily COVID-19 update on Sundays moving forward unless deemed necessary. All of Sundays information will be provided with Mondays update.”

As of 5:00 pm today, there are:

  • 10 new, confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Victoria County
  • 16 newly recovered individuals
  • 933 currently active cases of COVID-19 in Victoria County
  • 3,599 total confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Victoria County
