Victoria County reports 54 new coronavirus cases, 4 recoveries
County up to 238 active cases
VICTORIA, Texas — On Thursday, the Victoria Office of Emergency Management reported 54 new active cases of COVID-19 in Victoria County, with four new recoveries. Those figures increase the county’s active total to 238, with 468 total cases reported since the pandemic began.
There are currently 386 active coronavirus cases in the Golden Crescent, with 81 in Lavaca County, 28 in DeWitt County, 22 in Calhoun County, 15 in Jackson County and 2 in Goliad County.
Victoria OEM personnel will hold another COVID-19 press briefing on Friday afternoon at 3:00 pm to address the continued rise in local positive cases. The city also announced it will reactive its coronavirus hotline for any local residents with questions regarding the virus. The hotline number is 361-580-5796.
