Victoria County reports 101 new COVID-19 cases, two deaths
Active case count up to 1,220 in Victoria County
VICTORIA, Texas — On Friday, Victoria County Office of Emergency Management (OEM) personnel reported 101 new cases of COVID-19, and 61 newly recovered individuals. The Public Health Department also reported two COVID-19 related deaths within the county, as well as outbreaks of the virus at multiple healthcare facilities.
Victoria County Jail, Twin Pines Mockingbird, Twin Pines North, and Retama Manor have all been hit with recent outbreaks.
With the updated case numbers, the county currently is reporting 1,220 active cases of the virus, with 2,357 diagnosed since the outbreak of the pandemic. The death count in Victoria County is now 21.
