Victoria County property owners to receive protection through new program

Victoria County Clerk receives green light to implement system to protect property owners

VICTORIA COUNTY, Texas – On Monday, Dec. 20, morning, Victoria County Clerk Heidi Easley presented a contract to Commissioners Court. The contract discussed bringing a program to Victoria County that will protect property owners. It will also bring them peace of mind concerning their property.

Recording Notification Service, RNS, will allow users to register their information for notifications if a document listing them as an affected party is filed in the Official Public Records of Victoria County. Registration for this service is free for users. Victoria County will implement this program immediately. The program will also become operational by the end of February 2022.

During the 2022 budget hearing for the County Clerk’s office, the court provided favorable action for the need for a program of this type.

“This was a priority item proposed during our budget hearing,” said Easley. “I’m thankful that we can finally take action to start the implementation process. In a time where bad guys are looking for creative ways to take advantage of vulnerable property owners, this is an initiative-taking step in protecting property owners in Victoria County.”
