Local man’s death no longer ruled as a homicide
VICTORIA, Texas — UPDATE 2/11/2020 5:34 p.m.
VICTORIA, Texas—Keith Messamore was found dead on the property of Integrity Industries back in November 2019. Now we have updated information regarding his death from the Victoria County Sheriffs Office.
Roy Boyd, the Victoria Chief Deputy said, “After a thorough investigation that took quite a bit of time, it was determined that Mr. Messamore was not the victim of a homicide. He was a victim of unfortunate circumstances that lead to his death. However, we were able to prove that Mr. Messamore was not killed by any individual.”
Chief Deputy Boyd wants the community to know that there is no danger to anyone in that area.
UPDATE 11/21/19 7p.m.:
The body of 63-year-old, Keith Messamore was found around 7 a.m. Thursday morning on the property of Integrity Industries.
Integrity Industries is a 24-hour company that manufactures a variety of fluid and oilfield chemicals but last night a job was canceled and the employees were able to leave early.
When a worker returned Thursday morning he described seeing a white male’s naked body lying next to a wall. He also mentioned that the victim’s face was puffy, and he pointed out the trail of blood that the victim left behind.
Chief Deputy Roy Boyd with the Victoria County Sheriff’s Office said, “When the deputies arrived on the scene they discovered that Keith Messamore, 63 year old male from Victoria County was deceased at the location. We immediately corded off the area, and began gathering evidence and began our investigation”.
Chief Deputy Boyd stated that the scene strongly indicated a homicide, so they called the Homicide Investigator and the Crime Scene Unit to take over the scene.

Chief Deputy Boyd concluded saying, “We feel for the family. We feel for the victim. And we’re going to do everything we can within our power to ensure that justice prevails in this situation.”

Victoria Sheriffs have confirmed they are investigating a possible homicide on the property of Integrity Industries.
VCSO received the call about a deceased body around 7 a.m. Thursday morning. When they arrived on the scene, the preliminary investigation yielded sufficient evidence to point to a homicide. Chief Deputy Roy Boyd stated that “There were enough indicators that lead us to believe that it will be a homicide, and we are investigating it as such.”
The identity of the victim is not being released at this time. Chief Deputy Boyd did say that it is a White male in his 60s who was found on the ground deceased.
This investigation is ongoing. We will keep you updated as more information becomes available.
