Victoria County Deputies Seize $200,000 of Cocaine

Victoria Sheriff’s Department has made yet another drug bust. Newscenter 25’s Griselda Perez has the details.

The third drug bust in the past week, and Wednesday after a traffic stop, deputies seized more than 24 pounds of cocaine

Deputies stopped a vehicle on us Highway 59 near 185 on traffic charges.

After an investigation, 24.5 pounds of cocaine were located inside the dash area of the Subaru SUV. A total street worth of $200,000.

The female driver and only sole occupant was then arrested.

Details on the individual have not yet been released as no arraignment has been made and the investigation is still ongoing.

Sheriff T. Michael O’Connor shared this statement:

“This is one more example of our deputies being proactive in their duties as they protect and serve Victoria County. Our men, women, and K9s who serve deserve to know how much we appreciate their work on days like today. I have always believed that drugs are the root of all evil and I’m proud to say we have taken more of it out of the hands of the bad guys and off the streets of our community”

Victoria Sheriff’s Department Office adds that the arrested female is currently detained at Victoria County Jail.
