Victoria County COVID-19 second shot vaccine mega-hub
Up to 2700 people getting second dose today
Victoria County hosted its first COVID-19 vaccine second dose mega-hub under the new Wait List system.
Health Department director David Gonzalez tells us they planned to administer between 24-2700 second doses. Gonzales tells us the county has postponed its weekly first dose clinic until next Thursday, April 15. The postponement is due to the low number of people who have registered with the county wait list for the vaccine. Gonzales tells us that’s indicative of where the county is, that it’s reaching the saturation level in the community, which he says is good. Gonzales said there were between 6-700 signups in four days through Sunday, and that there are plenty of spaces for the next first dose clinic. The county will host a second dose mega hub next Tuesday at the Community Center.
