Victoria County Commissioners have laid the foundation for the Vietnam wall of honor at Patriot Park
The Vietnam Wall of Honor memorial pavilion will pay respects to those from Victoria who served in Vietnam
VICTORIA, Texas – Victoria County Commissioners have poured the foundation for the Vietnam wall of honor memorial Pavilion at Patriot Park.
The county commissioners designated the area last year after members of The Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 898 expressed their desire to have a permanent memorial here in Victoria. Chapter 898 wants to pay homage by erecting a wall of honor to remember all Vietnam veterans throughout the crossroads.
The pavilion will have a roof and entrance for people with physical disabilities and will feature about 800 engraved bricks dedicated to local veterans who served in Vietnam.
If you wish to honor a specific Vietnam veteran, you can sponsor a brick by mailing a donation of $50 to V-V-A, P.O. Box 1111, Victoria, Texas 77902.
For additional details, you can reach out to Montez Ernest at 361-571-0697.
We’ll continue to update this story as construction continues
