Victoria County burn ban has been lifted

Local drought index for Victoria County has dropped about 200 points

VICTORIA COUNTY, Texas – On Wednesday morning, Victoria County Judge Ben Zeller lifted both Victoria County’s burn ban and the county’s disaster declaration.

With steady rain throughout Victoria County over the last two days, the local drought index for Victoria County has dropped approximately 200 points.

The burn ban and disaster declaration prohibited the sale and use of fireworks in the unincorporated parts of the county. This has now been lifted.
