Victoria College Volleyball Faces Big Home Games 10/3

Pirates' First Home Games In A Month

Victoria College volleyball has not played a home game in a month.

The Pirates are 7-9 overall, 0-2 in Region XIV conference action. Now VC has home games on Friday night and Saturday afternoon. If the Pirates win at least one of those games they would greatly improve their chances of making the Region IV tournament in their first NJCAA season. I asked two VC players how much progress they’ve seen from their team.

Said right side hitter/outside hitter Ryndee Weishuhn, “There’s been a lot of improvement in many different places. We’re finally starting to click together and work as a team. “

Said setter Natalie Leal, “We’ve seen so much progress over the season. We started off sloppy but day-by-day we’re going strong. We’re getting practice done, we’re going harder. There’s been so much progress in a short amount of time that we’ve had together. “
Victoria College volleyball hosts Laredo Junior College Friday night at 7:00, then the Pirates host Coastal Bend College Saturday afternoon at 2:00.
