Victoria College presents life-size prehistoric fossil exhibit

Exhibit will remain on campus indefinitely

VICTORIA, Texas – Prehistoric creatures have taken over Victoria College. They invite you to get a look at their fossil exhibit, opening today.

On Thursday, Sept. 22, at 4:30 p.m., the Victoria College will host a grand opening and ribbon-cutting of a life-size prehistoric fossil exhibit.

The life-size prehistoric fossil exhibit is a permanent addition to the Health Sciences Center. It is part of a $3.6 million grant awarded to VC over five years through the US Department of Education Hispanic-Serving Institutions (HSI) STEM & Articulation Program.

The project aims to increase the number of Hispanic and low-income students attaining degrees in the fields of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). It also aims to develop model transfer and articulation agreements between two-year HSIs and four-year institutions in such fields.

The exhibit is open from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. and located at 2200 E. Red River St.
