Victoria College plans to offer more in-person courses for fall semester
Victoria College plans to increase number of in-person classes
VICTORIA, Texas- Victoria College plans to offer more in-person classes for the Fall 2021 semester, according to a news release.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Victoria College offered five instructional methods.
According to the news release, this was in addition to traditional face-to-face, online and hybrid courses. Victoria College now offers real-time remote courses, virtual courses that meet at a regularly scheduled time, alternating courses, classes that alternate between real-time remote and face-to-face.
“We are planning to offer approximately 60 percent of our Fall 2020 classes face-to-face, which is similar to what we offered before the pandemic,” said Cindy Buchholz, VC vice president of instruction a news release. “Appropriate measures will be in place to ensure the health and safety of our students and employees.”
Victoria College will provide Summer and Fall 2021 schedules on March 29. Registration is set to open to the public on April 19.
Most VC locations will be closed for Spring Break on March 12 until 21, according to the news release. Classes will continue March 22, 2021.
“Victoria College students have shown their resiliency and determination over the past year by adapting to alternative instructional methods,” said VC President Jennifer Kent in a news release. “We will continue to offer these alternative methods, but we’re excited to offer more face-to-face classes this fall to help students move a little closer to a sense of normalcy.
About 25 percent of VC’s Spring 2021 classes were offered in-person due to the pandemic.
