Victoria College Lifelong Learning Program Open House on January 12th

Victoria College’s Academy of Lifelong Learning will host its Spring Open House Thursday afternoon.

The program is a member driven organization for active adults.

Those interested will be able to see the Spring schedule, register for classes, and meet instructors.

Classes and social activities for continued education and personal growth are offered through the program.

The event will take place at the Leo J. Welder Center for the Performing Arts from 3 to 5 p.m.

“Members get to continue broadening their horizons, they get to learn about some things that maybe they were interested in but maybe never had a chance to learn about. They get to interact with their peers and make friends,” said PT Lifelong Learning Specialist Ashley Lindsey.

An annual fee of $50 entitles members to attend all courses and activities during the spring semester.

Academy of Lifelong Learning courses and activities scheduled for this spring include:

· Day trips with Texas Master Naturalists

· Dry Comal Creek wine tour and tasting

· “Feathered Friends” field trip

· Caring for Your Pet

· Xenophobia in America

· Butterfly Haven
