Victoria Civic Chorus holding auditions – David Means, music professor at Victoria College, is the conductor for the Victoria Civic Chorus.

VICTORIA, Texas – The Victoria Civic Chorus will hold auditions through the end of August.

The nonprofit organization is built of singers from Victoria and surrounding communities. Weekly practices will begin on Thursdays at 7 p.m. beginning on Aug. 26. Victoria College students can also earn class credit while performing with the group.

“The Victoria Civic Chorus and the Choraliers are open to students and nonstudents alike,” said David Means, music professor at Victoria College. “The Victoria Civic Chorus will perform the Christmas portion of Handel’s Messiah with orchestra in December and another major choral work with orchestra in May. We invite the public to come be a part of this outstanding group.”
