Victoria City Council approves amendment to allow increase of 95 cents to utility bills paid by phone
VICTORIA, Texas – Victoria City Council held a public hearing Tuesday evening on an amendment to add 95 cents to the credit card surcharges when paying a utility bill over the phone.
Presenters of the amendment took questions from city council members during the meeting.
There were no comments made by the public during the hearing.
The increase would help relieve the current utility staff from staying after regular hours to call customers back who have questions about their utility bills.
Council members unanimously voted to approve the amendment after a motion by District 3 council member Jeff Bauknight and a second by Super District 6 council member Mark Loffgren.
