Victoria Boys & Girls Club in need of building repairs

“As far as what needs to be fixed we have a laundry list,” Boys and Girls Club of Victoria Executive Director, Adam Shugart said.

Boys and Girls Club Executive Director Adam Shugart says the rest rooms, cafeteria, kitchen and class rooms all need repairs.

“Its about putting this place together in a way that will inspire kids to want nice things and not get used to things that are ducked taped together, kitchen floors that are painted on. Not accepting that there’s bathrooms that haven’t worked in 15 years or doors without door knobs. To get them to see things taken care of and see that when something is broken it gets fixed and staying up on the building maintenance,” Shugart said.

The club wants to repair and renovate the kitchen to be eligible for programs that offer healthier meals for children.
The club plans to raise money for repairs through fundraisers and donations. The club will host a golf tournament at The Club at Colony Creek in April.
