Victoria area McDonald’s participated in the annual Coffee with a Cop national event
VICTORIA, Texas — Victoria area McDonald’s participated in the annual Coffee with a Cop national event.
The restaurant hosted a conversation between local police departments and the public in an effort to cultivate meaningful discussions between first responders and their community.
“Coffee with a Cop started in California, in 2011. In 2016, they came up with National Police Day. Now all 50 states have some kind of Coffee with a Cop Day. So it’s really important, because we can have the community come and talk with the cops in a good environment, where they feel open to talk to them and ask them questions. It’s a good interaction between the community,” said Beatriz Wezeman, McDonald’s owner.
