Vickers Elementary School, one of the 50 stops on the H-E-B Excellence Texas Loves Teachers Tour

Educators who go the extra mile to serve their students and community receive this recognition

VICTORIA, Texas – H-E-B Excellence Texas Loves Teachers Tour selected Vickers Elementary School as one of the 50 stops, which are chosen based on votes submitted by teachers, staff, Parent Teacher Organizations (PTO), students and parents.

Educators who go the extra mile to serve their students and communities have been recognized by the H-E-B Excellence in Education Awards since 2002. H-E-B Excellence in Education is celebrating its 20th Anniversary by kicking off a year-long celebration of the more than 300,000 public school educators across the state with the Texas Loves Teacher Tour. The tour will put together an appreciation event for school staff at each stop. This will include H-E-B gift card giveaways, branded items, coupon books for free and more.

On Friday, April 16, the H-E-B prize bus will pull into the Vickers Elementary School parking lot to hand out goodies to all teachers and staff, as well as a boxed lunch or breakfast goodie from H-E-B. Teachers and staff will also have the opportunity to register to win more than $2000 in H-E-B gift cards, while the bus is onsite.

On Saturday, May 8, H-E-B Excellence in Education will be giving a $100,000 cash prize to educators throughout the state during a virtual tribute to Texas teachers. To enter the random drawing, teachers, principals, districts and early childhood facilities can go to throughout the time of the tour.
