VFW Post 4403 celebrate Veteran’s day with ceremony

The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4403 held their annual Veterans Day ceremony and luncheon Friday morning.

The ceremony was held to honor Veterans of foreign wars from across the region. Veterans in attendance included Vietnam, Korean and World War II veterans.

Guest speaker Bobby Barrera says everyone should honor not just the veterans but their families for their sacrifice.

“They were there for us. They didn’t have the uniform on, but, they provided the service. Always, there’s someone supporting you. And that’s what this veteran’s day is about. To be there for each other. Sometimes, we need to give. Sometimes, we need to receive. But, in this, we’re together.”

Veteran’s day is this Sunday, November 11th, marking 100 years since the ending of World War I.
