VCSO clears homicide scene, autopsy complete
The Victoria County Sheriff’s Office has completed their homicide investigation at the scene on Stubb School Road off of Highway 77. An Autopsy of the body completed in Travis Count Friday afternoon.
This is the first homicide of 2017 in Victoria County. A woman’s body was found at 11:40 a.m. by a state game warden doing a check of the area. Victoria County Sheriff’s Office says the body was placed just over the fence and all indications point to homicide. There was no identification on the woman, but Victoria County Sheriff’s Office hopes to find her finger prints or DNA.
Sheriff T. Michael O’Connor says this was a direct intentional act and not random and that the community shouldn’t feel in danger.
Victoria County Sheriff’s Office is still furthering their investigation into the homicide.
