VC sophomore Marissa Partida to perform in recitals at the Johnson Symposium

Performance on Friday, April 16

VICTORIA, Texas – On April 16 through 23, Victoria College sophomore students will perform music recitals at various Victoria locations.

On Friday, April 16 starting at 6 p.m., Marina Lane, soprano, and Reagan Rodriguez, baritone, will perform at the Johnson Symposium on VC’s Main Campus. Muriel Cotman, pianist and organist, and Joshua Garcia, tenor, will perform on Saturday, April 17 at First Presbyterian Church in Cuero.

On Sunday, April 18 Persephanie Cano, soprano, will perform at VC’s Johnson Symposium starting at 3 p.m. Violinists Marissa Partida and Michael Cano will perform at the final recital at the Johnson Symposium starting at 6 p.m. on Friday, April 23.

“Our students have worked extremely hard this semester, and they are very excited about having the opportunity to perform for the public,” said David Means, Victoria College music professor.

Based on Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s recommendations, guests will be required to wear a facial covering, have their temperatures checked and pass a health screening before entering the classroom. Social distancing will be required, as well.

Victoria College’s Johnson Symposium is on VC’s Main Campus at 2200 E. Red River Street in Victoria, adjacent to the Allied Health Building near Entrance 8.
