VC Board of Trustees announces presidential search, seeks community’s input
VICTORIA, Texas — Victoria College’s Board of Trustees announced Thursday that the search is underway for the sixth president of Victoria College.
Dr. David Hinds, VC president since 2015, announced in September his plans to retire next August.
The board recently selected the Association of Community College Trustees to assist with the presidential search and is now seeking the community’s input to help create a presidential profile, an important first step in the search process. The following public forums have been scheduled for Monday, Dec. 2.
Faculty/Staff Forum – 8:30-9:30 a.m., VC Student Center, Meeting Rooms A-D
Student Forum – 12:30-1:30 p.m., VC Student Center, Meeting Rooms A-D
Faculty/Staff Forum – 3:30-4:30 p.m., VC Student Center, Meeting Rooms A-D
Community Forum – 5:30-6:30 p.m., VC Student Center, Meeting Rooms A-D
The public forums are open to everyone.
Input regarding the presidential profile can also be shared anonymously via a short electronic survey at www.VictoriaCollege.edu/PresidentialSearch. Presidential search progress reports will be posted on this webpage as they are available.
