VC and Cuero I.S.D. enter Memorandum of Understanding, allowing Cuero I.S.D. students to attend dual-credit classes
VC will be offering 109 dual-credit courses the Fall 2021 semester
VICTORIA, Texas – Cuero High School students now have the chance to earn college credit while in high school through Victoria College due to VC and the Cuero Independent School District entering into a Memorandum of Understanding. Students will be able to attend dual-credit classes at Victoria College’s Main Campus, Cuero High School or online.
Cuero I.S.D. students will also have access to academic, career and transfer advising, as well as disabilities services, technology support services and library services and resources available to other VC students.
“Cuero ISD is a fantastic school district with many opportunities for students to graduate with college hours as well as workforce certifications,” VC President Jennifer Kent said. “We are excited to serve the students at Cuero High School and look forward to a great partnership.”
There will be 109 dual-credit classes offered by VC during the Fall 2021 semester.
“Cuero ISD and VC have been longtime partners in educating our kids and offering college opportunities for them,” said Cuero ISD Superintendent Micah Dyer. “Cuero is glad to be able to renew this continued relationship that we have, and we look forward to what the future holds for Cuero ISD and Victoria College.”
Recently, Victoria College’s Board of Trustees approved a lowered rate for dual-credit classes for the 2021-22 academic year, which will waive lab fees for dual-credit students. Additionally, a tuition discount will reduce the cost for dual-credit courses to $250 for Cuero I.S.D. students.
