Vaccine clinic at Christ’s Kitchen in July and open to the public
Trish Hastings with Christ's Kitchen says a vaccine clinic is scheduled at the soup kitchen Thursday, July 8.
VICTORIA, Texas – Christ’s Kitchen will host a vaccine clinic Thursday, July 8 from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. at the soup kitchen.
It’s open to the public and free.
The soup kitchen will offer vaccines in collaboration with the National Guard and Methodist Healthcare Ministries, said Trish Hastings with Christ’s Kitchen.
The vaccines that will be administered are the Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccines.
Hastings said children 12 and older are eligible for the Pfizer at the clinic.
She also shared she wants to encourage all those who may have hesitated to get vaccinated to do so in a safe environment.
“The National Guard evidently contacted Methodist Healthcare Ministries through Kathy Frels and Kathy contacted us and asked if we wanted to do a vaccination clinic,” said Hastings to 25 News Now. “I had been wanting to do a clinic at the kitchen and had been discussing with my fellow community health workers.”
The goal is to have all people who are interested to pre-register. Hastings said she understands that may not be possible for all to do that.
Those interested can call Hastings at 361-935-4500 for more information.
