V.I.S.D. to begin handing out meals on March 23rd

 

VICTORIA, Texas – The Victoria Independent School District is to begin handing out breakfast and lunch to all students in the district and the surrounding areas.

On Friday, March 20th, 2020, Dr. Quintin Shepherd announced that beginning on Monday, March 23rd, 2020, they will serve both breakfast and lunch to all students. Breakfast will be served 7:30am to 9:30am and lunch will be served 10:30am to 12:30pm, with Stroman Middle School being open until 1pm.

All students under the age of 18 and special needs students under the age of 21 will be able to receive a meal, and must be in the car with the parent at the time of pick-up.

This service will be done drive-thru style at the following locations:

  • Aloe Elementary (62 Chaparral Dr, Victoria, TX 77905)
  • Crain Elementary (2706 N Azalea St, Victoria, TX 77901)
  • Hopkins Elementary (110 Hopkins Rd, Victoria, TX 77901)
  • Rowland Elementary (2706 Leary Ln, Victoria, TX 77901)
  • Shields Elementary (3400 Bluebonnet St, Victoria, TX 77901)
  • Stroman Middle School (3002 E North St, Victoria, TX 77901)

The district is working on being able to offer a dinner as well. If you do not have transportation, reach out to the parent liason at your home campus on Monday for assistance.
