V.I.S.D. sets a delayed start for Tuesday, Sept. 14
Changes may be made according to weather forecast
VICTORIA, Texas – Victoria I.S.D. is committed to the safety of its students and staff. The school district is continuing to work with the Victoria Office of Emergency Management to monitor changing weather conditions and the projected impact of Tropical Storm Nicholas.
As of right now, V.I.S.D. will have a two-hour delayed start time for all campuses on Tuesday, Sept. 14:
- High School: 9:30 a.m.
- Elementary: 10 a.m.
- Middle School: 10:30 a.m.
Breakfast will still be available for students.
School buses will also run two hours later than the normal schedule. For example, if your bus pick-up time is 6:30 a.m., it will now be 8:30 a.m (delayed by two hours). Campuses will dismiss at their normal times. After-school activities will also resume as normal.
Victoria I.S.D. will continue to share updates with parents and staff via Edulink notifications, the district’s website and official social media accounts. You can also find updates through local media partners.
Victoria OEM and U.S. National Weather Service Corpus Christi Texas are a couple of resources offering updates.
V.I.S.D. plans to monitor the weather situation and may adjust this plan as necessary if there should be a change to the current forecasted condition.
