V.I.S.D former coach sentenced to 10 Year Deferred Adjudication Probation
VICTORIA, Texas–Former V.I.S.D Wrestling coach James White received a 10 Year Deferred Adjudication Probation sentence on Tuesday. The victim didn’t want to testify so White was able to enter into a plea deal.
“James White entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Sexual Assault yesterday in the Victoria County Courtroom. As a result of that guilty plea, he will do six months in Victoria County Jail, as a condition of receiving a 10 year probated sentence. In addition to 10 years of community supervision, he will be placed on Sexual Offender Registration for the remainder of his lifetime and be required to pay a fine in excess of five-thousand dollars”, said Constance Filley Johnson, the Victoria County District Attorney.
If White violates any of these terms he could face up to 20 years in prison.
