Karina F. Garcia, born in Houston and grew up there. She moved to South Texas where she pursued her interests in Writing Studies and Digital Journalism. She graduated from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi and shortly after moved to Victoria, where she now works as a News Anchor/Producer for 25 News Now. During her college years, she worked for the university’s newspaper as a reporter, anchor and producer for the newspaper’s digitalized series, “The Riptide.” Karina also decided to dabble in education and as a result she received a TESOL certification, which allows her teach English to non-English speakers worldwide. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, doodling, staying active and hanging out with friends and family. She currently owns a cat named Drax the Destroyer and hopes to adopt another kitty in the future.
