US Marshals, VPD Special Crimes Unit arrest Victoria man for federal offense

VICTORIA, Texas- On Wednesday, Jan 22nd, 2020, the Victoria Police Department Special Crimes Unit (SCU) and the United States Marshals Service Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Task Force conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 3300 block of Meadowlane St; according to a statement from Victoria Police Department.

“A passenger in the vehicle who was VERY easily identifiable as 32 year old Victoria resident, Abraham Lecon Jr., was the subject of an outstanding federal warrant for a firearms offense as well as a Felony Evading and Possession of a Controlled Substance warrant out of DeWitt County,” the statement reads. 

Lecon attempted to run away from the police, however he was shortly apprehended and is currently in federal custody.
