UPDATE: Suspect involved in overnight shooting arrested

Pierce Cisneros, 18, arrested for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon

VICTORIA, Texas – According to a press release from the Victoria Police Department Media Relations Team, 19-year-old Pierce Cisneros was arrested for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, following further investigation.

On Wednesday, at approximately 10:47 p.m., VPD officers responded to the area of 2300 Mistletoe Avenue, in response to a shooting victim.

Elena-Marie Smith, 18, stated she and a friend were walking in the roadway when gunfire came in their direction from a vehicle driving by. Smith sustained non-life-threatening injuries by the gunfire. She was then transported to a local hospital for treatment.

On Thursday, May 5, at 10:45 a.m., officials arrested Cisneros for the outstanding warrant without incident from a residence in the 2400 US Highway 87 N. They then transported him to the Victoria County jail, where he remains in lieu of a $75,000 bond.
