Update: Suspect arrested and charged in deadly accidental shooting
VICTORIA, Texas — Update 5-13-2019:
On Saturday, 05/11/2019, 3:57 AM, Victoria Police Department officers responded to a residence in the 700 block of Salem Rd. in response to a shooting; according to a statement released by David Brogger, Public Information Officer with VPD.
Upon arrival, officers located 21 year old Victoria resident Aramis Anderson laying on the floor of the residence with an apparent gunshot wound. Officers attempted lifesaving efforts on Anderson until EMS arrived and continued.
Anderson later passed away due to injuries sustained as a result of the shooting.
The initial investigation revealed that 21 year old Placedo resident, Jimmy Morin, was playing with a loaded gun and apparently shot Anderson accidentally.
Morin was arrested and charged with Manslaughter. He remains in the Victoria County Jail with a $25,000 surety bond.

VPD responded to a call of an accidental shooting on the 200 block of Salem road 3:57am on Saturday morning.
Officer David Brogger says after the intial investigation a 21 year old male was arrested and charged with manslaughter.
The other 21 year old male died from his injuries.
We are expecting more information from VPD tomorrow.
