Update: Getaway Driver in Christmas Eve robbery apprehended

Update 1/9/19:

The getaway driver in a Christmas Eve robbery of a convenience store has been apprehended by Victoria PD officers.

Victoria resident Roxanne Fumbanks was arrested Tuesday by VPD and a US Marshall Fugitive task force.

Lieutenant Eline Moya of VPD says Fumbanks aided Angelo Delagarza in robbing a North Street convenience store at gunpoint before escaping in a silver Pontiac.

Thanks to tips from the community, they were able to apprehend Fumbanks without incident.

“Tips that did come in, we were able to corroborate that. We were able to go out and search and follow up on all those leads, which lead us to believe that she was our person that we needed to hold accountable on this type of crime.”

Fumbanks is currently being held at the Victoria County Jail on a fifty thousand dollar bond.
