Update: FBI, VCSO and DCSO continue investigation into cold case near Westhoff
The Victoria County Sheriffs Office, Dewitt County Sheriffs Office and the FBI are continuing their investigation into a cold case involving a Westhoff property.
Federal agencies used ground-penetrating radar and volunteer groups brought in cadaver dogs as part of the investigation. Victoria County Chief Deputy Roy Boyd says the search has been expanded to include the possibility of multiple victims. Boyd added the Sheriff’s Office will continue they’re investigation until justice is served for the families of the victims.
“It was a very intensive operation. We were disappointed that we did not find the physical evidence we were hoping to find but that doesn’t necessarily mean that the investigation will be discontinued. We’ll make sure that Sheriff O’Connor and Sheriff Bowen will ensure that every effort is put forward to try and bring justice for the families of the victims in these cases.”
The Victoria County Sheriff’s Office says they have no timeline for the investigation but that they will continue their search for the foreseeable future.
