UPDATE: Austin police secure the scene, reported no injuries

This was not an active shooter incident, said law enforcement

AUSTIN, Texas – According to a tweet by the Austin Police Department, officers have secured the scene at Seton Hospital after a shots fired call on Friday afternoon. Law enforcement reported the hospital is safe and is not an active shooter incident.

No injuries were reported and roadways are expected to open soon. Austin PD reports resources being deployed as a precautionary measure.

There will be no criminal investigation at this time nor a media briefing regarding this incident.
