UHV Women’s Soccer Looks To Big Saturday Game

Jaguars Play For Conference First Place

UHV women’s soccer’s last home game of the season is huge.
They are now in second place in the Red River standings with one game left. The Jaguars suffered their first conference loss last week, then came back with a tie for a 5-1-2 record. I talked with two Jaguars about their conference standing.

Said center forward Daisy Contreras, “It’s pretty exciting. We have one more game. We’ll just have to try to push through. We’re in a pretty good stance right now Hopefully we can win and bump up to first place.”

Said defensive midfielder Hayden Janner, “It feels very good. We’re very glad we’re in this spot to guarantee our place in the tournament We actually have a chance to secure it even more by winning this game this weekend..”

UHV women’s soccer takes on Red River leader Our Lady Of The Lake at the UHV Cage Saturday afternoon at 1:00. That’ll be followed by the men’s game.
