UHV Women’s Soccer Coming Off Big Win 9-17

Jaguars Win In Overtime

UHV soccer, hitting the road after doing well at home over the weekend.
After losing their Friday home game to Sul Ross, the UHV women bounced back Sunday to win at the Cage over Concordia, 1-0. Freshman Victoria Trevino scored her first Jaguar goal as a Golden Goal in overtime for the Sunday win. The Jaguars improve to 3-3 on the season. Two UHV women told me how big that win was for the team.

Said defensive midfielder Hayden Jenner, “It was very big for us. We had come off a loss and we really came to practice that day after that loss. We all put our heads together and we were determined to work really hard and really work with each other. ” Said midfielder Consuelo Luna, “It was a huge win for us. We were really pumped. We went into the game very confident. We did have some struggles in previous games but we came ready.”

UHV women’s soccer returns to action Thursday when they head to Texas Wesleyan for a 5:00 match.
