UHV softball splits series with Louisiana Christian College
Jaguars lose game one 12-4; win game two 8-0
PINEVILLE, LA- The UHV Jaguars softball team had a doubleheader against the Louisiana Christian University Wildcats on the road.
The Jaguars lose game one 12-4. Cameron Steen started for UHV pitching two innings allowing 4 runs. Jackie Longoria came and pitched over an inning allowing seven runs. The Jaguars led after two innings 2-1, but the Wildcats had a six-run third inning and a five-run fourth inning to put the game away.
In game two, the Jaguars came out swinging in the first inning getting two runs and adding four more in the third inning. The UHV defense held the Wildcats to no runs as the Jaguars shut out the Wildcats 8-0 to split the series. Alexi Wade pitched all five innings for UHV allowing only four hits and no runs. Ashley Reyna, Zoë Miranda and Kaylle Lopez all had two RBI’s.
