UHV softball hits the ground running this weekend as its starts Red River Conference play.

The Jaguars will face the other conference pre-season favorite, LSU-Alexandria, on the road this weekend. UHV enters the series with a 5-6 record. Two Jaguars told me what they have to do better after getting swept on Tuesday here against Texas Southern.

Said DH/first baseman Dominique Garcia, “I feel that was the best pitching we had faced in a while. I feel making adjustments sooner in our at-bats would have been a great thing to do. We started making adjustments a little too late within our at-bats. ”

Said pitcher Michelle Kristoff, “We know what we’re capable of doing and what we need to do. We just need to make adjustments quicker in each inning. I feel we’ll do well. ”

23rd-ranked UHV softball starts Red River play visiting 21st-ranked LSU-Alexandria with a doubleheader starting F
