UHV Softball Player Earns National Honor

A national honor for a UHV softball player. Junior Madeline Herrera has been recognized as one of the 2017 Daktronics-NAIA Softball Scholar-Athletes.

Herrera is one of 395 softball student-athletes to be recognized for the national honor.

She is the 18th UHV softball player to earn the academic honor.

In order to be nominated by an institution’s head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status.
